The Dorper and White Dorper is a new breed in Great Britain.

Originally developed in South Africa it has very quickly spread to all continents making their mark in the USA, South America, New Zealand, Australia, Europe and Asia.

Every spring they shed their wool so require little maintenance for flystrike, they rarely become cast (stuck on their backs).

They are easy lambing and rarely aquire assistance. Ewes are great mothers and great milkers which helps lambs thrive and grow fast.

They are hardy and adaptable to many climatic conditions.

The dorper combine a very good carcass with a unique flavour and texture making them desirable to the elite and niche markets.

THE DORPER HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME A LEADING SHEEP BREED WITHIN THE UK!
